May 2022 Gymnastics, Dance, Mother's Day, Lily's Birthday, and Homeschool Conference

Dino time with friends. The gymnastics show off was fun.  Lilian's class was at about 4:30.  Then we went and ate dinner at the reservoir before the twin's showoff.  Lily did a great job, then during dinner she wouldn't eat and got all sleepy.  This evening we realized she had a fever.  Had no idea she was sick, until after she finished her show off.  Hannah during warmups Finn doing his stretches. Melissa decided to make a fidget mat for Grandma Clift.  She is living alone, they have lots of activities and outings, but Melissa read somewhere that this can be a good focus for her as her memory is struggling.  Helping to focus on fine motor skills and a distraction.  Mother's day was tough this year.  Melissa ended up sick, a cold Sunday and a GI bug hit her about 2 AM Monday. End of April and beginning of May, Happy Birthday Grandma Workman!

For my mom's 70th birthday my sister, Trisha, had the idea for our siblings to surprise her. Trisha, Brian, Andrew and Mark all came.  I told my mom that we wanted to take her on a trail ride for her birthday weekend.  When she walked in I came out singing to her, followed by Andrew, then Mark, then Brian and last Trisha.  Mom was so surprised and excited. It was perfect! (April 30th, 2022) Mom with 5 of her kids. We did end up going for a ride. Brian had driven his jeep down, so he wanted to hit up some trails. We went down to Comb Wash Road because it is an easy trail for Mom. She gets a little nervous on trails.  Along the road there were some petroglyphs. Trisha rode in the back of one of our side by sides. Mom and Bill rode in Brian's jeep, so they stayed pretty clean. The kids loved climbing around the rocks and looking at the "pictures".  Mark and I explored some rocks too. Brian had 2 chairs and some shade on his jeep. Our trail buddies! That night we go...
