October 2019 Part 2: Halloween hits hard... something like 5 days.

This year's family costume was Frozen.  Hannah was Elsa, Finn was Olaf, Lilian was Anna, Melissa the reindeer Sven and Andy was Kristoff. Halloween started on the 23rd at the library.  (Melissa made all our hats, you'll see them featured throughout the following pictures). Well, Lilian learned to climb on the dog cage. So, that's a thing now.  Luckily, Zoe's recover would progress well enough that we could get rid of the cage soon. 10/26 - Our little Frozen girls getting ready for the USU Halloween carnival.  Earning treats at the cake walk. More candy and/or toys at the bean bag toss.  Such a cute family. Thank you USU for a fun afternoon.  And there was an inflatable slide... you know, traditional Halloween stuff.  Our shirts were made by Grandma Darlene on their visit a few weeks earlier. "I'm a fixer upper... I tinkle in the woods."  So cute!  She wouldn't let mom get her dressed up, but let me.  What a cutie! Zoe was on pretty serio...

October 2019 Part 1. A visit to Seaside, OR and life up to Halloween.

10/4 - Lilian looks pretty happy, huh?  I don't think she realizes just how far we are driving. Again, no idea how far Seaside is from Blanding.  I'm grateful for little towns with fun parks.  I'm writing this blog 11/22/20, during the middle of the SARS-CoV-2 resurgence.  A random stop at a public park today is almost a political stance... yikes, the difference a year makes.  10/5 - Melissa decided, just days before, that we needed to crash the Clift siblings weekend in Oregon.  Trisha's family did the same and we had fun watching conference, playing games and enjoying family.  The weather was surprisingly different 8 weeks before our usual Thanksgiving visits.   Actually playing on the beach, digging in the sand for hours. Instead of the usual 20 minutes fighting the wind just to say, "we went to the beach." Enjoying that famous pacific northwest sun with Trisha. Snuggles and smiles with Grandpa and Grandma Clift. Cool dude Finn hiding from...
