October 2019 Part 2: Halloween hits hard... something like 5 days.

This year's family costume was Frozen.  Hannah was Elsa, Finn was Olaf, Lilian was Anna, Melissa the reindeer Sven and Andy was Kristoff. Halloween started on the 23rd at the library.  (Melissa made all our hats, you'll see them featured throughout the following pictures).

Well, Lilian learned to climb on the dog cage. So, that's a thing now.  Luckily, Zoe's recover would progress well enough that we could get rid of the cage soon.

10/26 - Our little Frozen girls getting ready for the USU Halloween carnival.

Earning treats at the cake walk.

More candy and/or toys at the bean bag toss.

Such a cute family. Thank you USU for a fun afternoon.

And there was an inflatable slide... you know, traditional Halloween stuff.

Our shirts were made by Grandma Darlene on their visit a few weeks earlier. "I'm a fixer upper... I tinkle in the woods."

So cute!  She wouldn't let mom get her dressed up, but let me.  What a cutie!

Zoe was on pretty serious restriction.  She couldn't go out the the bathroom on her own.  We had to carry her out and in and keep her on a leash while in the yard (no stairs).  She wasn't even supposed to walk around the floor much.

Lilian must have known she was hurting, so she gave her some extra love.

10/27 - Pumpkin painting this year!

A natural Picasso.

Even I got to help a little.

Back to the library on the 28th for Mommy and Me time.  Showing off costumes and enjoying more treats.

Keep the balloon in the air game.

10/28 - And one home improvement project, just because we have too!  A porch cover for the duplex apartment.

Zoe's hair is growing back and scar is solidifying.

Now to the Trunk or Treat on the 30th.  This year, they decided to do a meal and games inside before the trunk or treat in the parking lot.

We met another little Elsa. Nora, our next door neighbor.

Someone arranged a pie eating contest for the young men's group.  Cameron Palmer decided to "help" one of the boys make some progress with his pie.

So I returned the favor! Cameron and I talked about this moment a few months later, I think it was during tithing settlement.  He wasn't happy, but realized if he was going to be dishing it out... he had to learn to take it.  Cameron passed away in July 2020 in a car accident, I'm glad I had the opportunity to watch him serve the young men.  He was dedicated and always kept them in the front of his thoughts.

Looking good family.

Before heading outside, while cleaning up, the kids had a chance to run wild!

Now, we have reached the big night!  I get to take this sexy reindeer out on the town!

Pumpkins are ready!  All survived the night intact! I appreciate how much effort Melissa puts in to Halloween. The kids do too.  Those costumes were worn countless times in the following year!
