October 2021 Nashville (Part 2)

We stayed at the Gaylord Grand Ole Opry Resort in Nashville.  It was all decorated for Halloween.  We had lots of fun exploring the resort.  My conference was good (8-1) each day so we had plenty of time to play in the afternoons.  The resort has a beautiful big atrium lots to see and do.  Finn was having a tough day after our first night.  When I got back from my conference I scooped him up and we went exploring.  That is why he doesn't have any shoes on.  This trip taught me that he and I get along best when on the move.  We walked without speaking anything more than, "up the stairs" or "turn here" for 5 minutes and that was enough to let us both clear our heads and start communicating.  The resort also has a big indoor/outdoor waterpark.  There were two lazy rivers.  We spent about 4.5 hours there one afternoon, it was great.  The twins and I went up 4 flights of stairs to ride the tube slide and at the top the attendan...

October 2021, Trip to Nashville (Part 1)

With little kittens living in the garage it was time to make a permanent home for them. Melissa and I made this kitten condo. Eventually we'll cut a kitten door through the wall to the backyard.  Lilian on the balance bar at gymnastics.  Melissa and her new babies. Saying goodbye before we hit the road for 2 weeks to Nashville and back.  Pizza in Moriarty, NM as we start east.  On our drive through TX we tried to stop for a nice lunch in Groom, TX.  Everything was closed, so we played in a cold windy park, then ate random bits from our cooler.  We spent 3 nights in OK and started at Uncle Andrew's for dinner.  There were tornado warnings and and really heavy rain.  It was crazy as we drove to our Airbnb, such heavy rain.  We made it and it was nice to have 3 bedrooms.  The twins and I work up early, so we walked to the local grocery store.
