March 2023 - Twins turn 7 and there's a fire.

3/4 - Hannah and Finn were invited to a Harry Potter birthday party.  They had lots of fun and loved the wand and glasses... and had no clue who Harry Potter is! That afternoon we went to Monument Valley to show a new pharmacist around.  He and his family came to visit to decide if they wanted the position.  It was a REALLY long evening: the drive, slow restaurant service and small talk.  Even more difficult for their family as their kids are usually in bed before 7.  3/11 - Melissa got the crafting bug.  She decided it was time to refinish a desktop in the AirBNB.  She's mixing the epoxy.  And here's the final product.  The twins jousting, as part of their UK lessons. 3/14, not sure how much jousting there will be on our trip.  3/17, St Patrick's Day.  It was sunny and I was off work. So I made a rainbow picnic platter and we went outside for lunch.  Sunday 3/19 - I guess someone was a little too quiet during quiet time. ...

2/2 - To help prepare for our UK trip Melissa started lessons on castles, knights, royalty, etc. So the kids made swords and shields.  2/3 We made Appelpaj from our Sweden Atlas Crate.  It was delicious!  So we made extras in smaller containers and took them to Maurine Oswald and family and Grandma and Grandpa Workman.  Then the kids gave a mini lesson on what they learned in daddy school about Sweden. It was fun to get the kids out and have them present on their learning.  2/4 - Grandma and Grandpa Aurich came with Great Grandma Flick for a quick visit.  Grandpa helped the kids try to make a snow fort.  2/5 - Sunday morning it was already time to go.  That morning I was called in to the ER and immediately after this photo I was called to the hospital and spend the next couple of hours there.  I ended up getting to church just in time to help Melissa teach her class. In my jeans and t-shirt.  2/11 - The next Saturday was Lily's daddy dat...

Lilian's preschool teacher, Miss Lana, decided that she wanted to trade for school this year.  She wanted a large behind the couch bench, then changed her mind and decided on a smaller bench to go under the front window.  Something to store toys and for her small dog to lounge on and look out the window.  I built her this, we bought a cushion for the top.  It is a "great deal" for us, but she loves trading for things she can't do for herself.  Once it was done, it was nice looking. 1/3 - Back to working hard at school.  Preschool was still on winter break, so Lily got some mommy school, too. Finn's Jurassic World, he's never seen the real movies, but the Lego versions are some of his favorites.  1/9 - See that little gray cross?  That is Andy's first flight lesson.  I have a patient at work who loves our visits and always says my analytical mind would be perfect in flight.  He set up an intro flight for me with a local instructor.  ...
