November 2022, Snow, Harvest and a delayed Thanksgiving

We had little idea, when it snowed November 3rd, that this was going to be one of the wetter years in Blanding.  Kids had fun.

Melissa crocheted a tote bag for Ava's birthday.  Not sure why she wanted a mushroom, but Melissa had fun with the checker pattern

Saturday the 5th we decided to finish off the garden.  The snow was a surprise, but we were able to take lots of carrots and tomatoes.  We were eating garden fresh tomatoes for weeks and carrots for months, so sweet.

11/12, it finally happened! Finn lost his first tooth.

That afternoon we went to White Rocks for a lunch picnic.

11/15, Melissa finished up Trisha's new scarf to send along with Ava's bag.  Crochet spree... and her neck sure felt it afterward.

11/18 The homeschool group had an activity in Monticello, but Hannah didn't want to go.  She stayed home with dad and Finn and Lily got to have lunch in 'cello with Melissa.

Grandma and Grandpa Workman went to Seaside, OR for Thanksgiving, so we were going to Lindon with the Bayless's.  Well, Lily changed our minds.  11/23 Lilian was hit first with a GI bug, then Finn.  They would be sick one day, then be ok for 24 hours, then start again.  So we stayed home, didn't eat a Thanksgiving meal.

11/24, At least we could MAKE turkey on Thanksgiving, if not eat it.  Just a look at their faces tells you who is feeling well.

Friday the 25th we started decorations.  Lily's "scared face" is cute!

11/28 Melissa won a nativity set from San Juan Pharmacy.

11/29, we decided we were finally stable enough to try frozen leftover ham, stuffing, Trisha's sweet potatoes and store bought pie and salads for Thanksgiving.

11/30 - we got the last of the decorations up outside.
