10/3 Friday, we might not enroll in San Juan School District, but we'll still take their candy at the homecoming parade!  Afterall, we do pay taxes on 4 properties in town now. Melissa and the kids had fun.  That afternoon Hannah came to work with me at the rental and pulled out basically the whole pile behind her from the old pantry.  She sure is a hard worker.  10/4 Saturday - Between conference sessions Melissa came to help pull out the chimney, brick by brick.  Hauling 5 gallon buckets of bricks down uneven stairs was not fun.  CLOTHING!  There were stacks of old clothes in almost any "insulated" wall in the house.  We regret not stacking it all in a pile separate from the rest of the debris.   10/5 - Sunday between conference sessions we took a picnic hike in the canyon.  10/7 Tuesday - Melissa and the kids drove up the mountain to see the fall colors with Grandma Workman.  10/10 Friday - Pumpkin hunting.  Hannah wasn...

9/11 Thursday. After we got home from Hawaii we bought a house on the block south of us.  Our friends, Martin and Elida Numbers, decided it was time to sell their house and lot. We purchased the house and lot (0.66 acres total) for $80,000.  This renovation could be a few posts on its own.  I'm writing in Feb 2026, and we are not done yet! The house was unoccupied for several years and served as a storage shed, then the Numbers house on the lot next door burned down, so they got this one fixed up enough to live in.  9/13 Melissa and Grandma Workman took the kids to the fall festival.  I spent the day working on demolition at the house.   9/21 - My birthday dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Workman's. 9/2 - Lindon, UT.  We left the kids with Nana and Granddad and blew that popsicle stand!   We flew from SLC to LAX, where we met up with Trisha and Jeremy and flew to Kauai together.  A full day later and yet, only 7 PM. A smiling girl with a flower in her hair... Hawaiian sign that she's single?  9/3 6 AM, we followed the Frey's out for sunrise walks once or twice.  It was nice to be out, but sleep won over most of the mornings. Grandpa Aurich hooked us up with a timeshare and we were just a short walk from Nukoli'i Beach.  We all brought the full face mask snorkel setups and Melissa was able to spend quite a bit of time in the water with just one panic.  The ladies at Tunnels Beach.  A hurricane years ago broke many chicken coops and now the island is full of wild chickens.  Melissa caught this great shot of a protective mother and her curious brood while we were looking for lunch in Hanalei.  9/4 after breakfast Thursday morning ...
