Our Bedroom

Image
I don't think that ever posted the after pictures of my bedroom. Well, here it is! It is nice and relaxing. It is much better than pink carpet, walls, and ceiling. The fan used to be brown and gold. I like the soft look of white and silver.   Before (with our landlord's furniture):     After:

My Preschool Playroom

Image
Our front living room is used as the kids playroom. I decided that I wanted most of the toys hidden, so that it could still look like a living room. The little dresser holds a lot of different manipulatives. I bought some of the manipulatives, but I made quite a few of them. The buckets hold blocks, fish, and stuffed animals. Then I have the toy chest holding....toys. :).  I hid the kitchen in the closet. Then the snakes and dinosaurs are hidden in the Ottomans. The books look great on the bookshelf and in the hat box. It works great, but I do wish that the room had doors, so I can keep the kids from occasionally trying to run out of it. I should have straightened the bookshelf before I took the pictures, but I guess that is how it often looks.

My Preschool Craftroom

Image
I use my craft room to do preschool crafts, calendar time and to tutor. I occasionally do my own crafts as well. Before it was very cramped, so Andy and I moved some furniture around. We even took a desk out. I forgot to take a before picture until we were in the middle of moving stuff around., so the before picture is very messy. I think this new arrangement will work much better. It feels more open, and I can get to everything without swinging the grey table around. I'm excited to do some more crafts now. Fall decor

Image
Yesterday I went for a hike with some friends. The beautiful leaves and nature inspired me to bring Fall into my home. I brought home pinecones and leaves. I spray painted the pinecones , and then put them on display. I also laminated the leaves and put them in a frame. I'm sure I'll be decorating for Halloween soon, but this is something I can leave out. Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.9

Bathroom Sign

I haven't decorated the main bathroom yet, so I had my preschoolers help me. I did most of it, but I needed their little hands, too. Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.9

Our Trip to Seattle

Image
Andy's birthday present to me was a trip to Seattle. I enjoyed being able to spend time with my family. We first went to the Musuem of Flight, and Andy was like a kid in a candy store!  He took tons of pictures from there, but I don't have any right now.  Mom, Bill, and Andrew were there, too.   The Friday we were there, Shanda dropped off the kids to come play with us.  (She was cleaning her house for her parents' visit.)  As you can tell, we had a lot of fun!     Trisha's family came later that day, and they brought a pool with them. Who says you can oly swim in a swimsuit?       Time to dry off!   The next day we went to Snoqualmie Falls.  It was a beautiful day.  Actually, it was sunny that entire weekend.  I believe it was up in the 90s and a little humid. Trish took me to go get a pedicure for my birthday.  She wanted one because she was headed off t...

Our Master Bath

Image
The master bath has pink everywhere.  An older couple owns this house, so there were a lot of fake flowers.  They took all of their bathroom stuff, and the decorations were put up into a room full of all of their storage.  I didn't like the white walls and pink tile.  I couldn't do anything about the pink tiles, so I decided to paint the walls.  We found some paint that seemed to go well with pink.  It is called Sandie Pecan.  It actually looked like it was supposed to be a darker brown than this, but we like the way it turned out. I then hung up my own decorations.  Brown and aqua look good with the pink and the walls.  If we end up buying this house in a couple of years, then we will change out all of the gold fixtures. I love the bath tub.  I have already used it quite a few times because it helps relieve my neck pain.  Now it feels more like my bathroom.
