April 2023 Spring thaw, yard sale and Vail.

It had been months since we saw Uncle Bob and Aunt Tracy, so we took some Brazilian food over and "watched conference" on Saturday evening, April 1.  We never got around to turning on the evening session with all the chit chat and catch up.  Thank goodness for the internet to replay it.

Apr 2 - Twin birthday at nana's, Brownies with sprinkles and frosting, brownies with frosting no sprinkles, and brownies with just sprinkles.

4/6 - The STEAM expo at USU, Melissa took the twins, then went back with Lilian too.  Not sure how the bubbles equate to science.

4/7 - Melissa took the kids to visit the chicks at Cassidy's, the ballet teacher.

4/7 - Easter celebration started with making Jesus and the two Mary's for the tomb.

4/8 - Saturday was the change oil in the van and outdoor treat egg hunt with Grandma and Grandpa.

4/8 - then we finished with dying the boiled eggs.  The boiling was a bit weird this year, I forgot to set a timer and went out to water the tree while boiling.  Remembered and ran inside, turned off the heat, cooled the eggs, peeled a nice soft boiled egg, then reboiled them.  They actually turned out really nice.

4/9 - Happy Easter Sunday! Weird kids.

Melissa invited the Numbers to Easter dinner with Grandma and Grandpa.

4/10 - USU held a Monday egg hunt.  It was less a hunt and more a pick up an egg every 15 inches until your basket was over flowing.  We then went in for pictures with the Easter bunny... we were all SO excited.

4/10 - after eggs, we went to Cottonwood Wash. It was flowing quite quickly and ice cold!

The kids had a blast.

4/22 - I'm sure something happened in the prior 2 weeks, but on Saturday the 22nd we had the yard sale for the Numbers.  It went really well with lots of donations and a very successful treat sale

4/23 - I had a speaking assignment in Bluff branch.  Robert Ogle and the twins spoke with me.  Robert's eyes aren't well, so we gave him a ride.  He spoke first then the twins spoke and I only had a couple of minutes in the end.  Hannah read a story from the Friend about taking care of Heavenly Father's creatures.

Finn read the story of when Jesus calmed the storm and how he can calm our lives also.

Driving back and forth with Brother Ogle we talked about politics, finance and religion. We didn't fight once, so I guess we must be good friends.  He mentioned some of the awesome things in Blanding which aren't well advertised due to shortsighted decisions in city council.  For example: the handmade arches. We'd never heard of them 1099 S 200 E in Blanding.  The former owner made a dozen different shaped and designed arches.  They are awesome.

4/23 - Grandma Workman's birthday is May 2nd, since we were leaving for England, we celebrated on Sunday the 23rd.

4/26 - We finally had a contractor come to start work on the stucco.  Just in time for us to leave the country!  Hopefully everything goes well while we are gone.

4/26 - The twins are going to miss the gymnastics Show Off while in England, so Melissa watched them at their last day.

4/30 - We're on our way! This is Gore Creek, right behind the Marriot Hotel/Resort. We had a great time looking at the river and swimming in the hot tub.
