Sunday March 9th, Church and Culture in England
On Sunday, March 9th, we went to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' Hyde Park Chapel. I learned that the building was built on a plot of land that had previously been bombed during World War II. It is smack in the middle of tons of old buildings and museums. I loved how diverse all the people were there. One of the missionaries told me that all the people who attended that building came from 120 different countries. Amazing! This is also the chapel where Andy's mum and dad were married. The foyer was turned into a visitor's center. After church we decided to stay in the area and visit all of those free museums. First on our list was the Victoria and Albert Museum. In front of the museum I stopped to take a picture by a phone booth, but Andy didn't cut out the Frenchman who was also getting his picture taken. I loved the Victoria and Albert Museum....
