October 2022 part 1 A nice mild fall.

For Saturday evening conference we had shared a meal with Rob and Mallory Lyman's family.  Then played games with the kids.   Sunday morning conference, Oct 2, Melissa decided to have a word find. The kids got candy whenever certain words were said.  We ran out of candy quickly.   Just a couple of cute girls out on a walk.  This is the desert behind USU campus.  Homeschool group lesson at the White Rocks amphitheater Thursday 10/6. The kids had a blast playing in the flooded bottom level.  Friday the 7th Grandma Jack watched the kids for a little while and got out her Legos.  Everyone had some fun! She and Grandpa Jack have been a serious blessing to our family.  Saturday the 8th we decided to head up the mountain road to see the leaves.  Our Pioneer wasn't running well so we took the Rhino and 4 wheeler.  Mason and Kati Lyman's family were loading up their Jeep and we ended up exploring together. September 2022, the rest. G-parents Aurich visit and Andy gets old

We got back from our trip and had a little harvesting to do. Melissa puts a lot of worry into the garden each year, and I put a lot of raspberries into my belly. I think that's a good balance.  Grandma and Grandpa Aurich came to visit for a few days. Finn loved having a buddy to build circuits with.  On Saturday the 17th we went to the reservoir to ride out rafts and grandma and grandpa's kayaks. Grandpa Aurich and I rode the kayaks. He pulled Lilian and Melissa in a raft. I pulled Hannah and Finn in the other raft. Melissa and I took turns in the kayaks together and ditched the kids.  They have pedal propellers and were much easier to pilot than our little rafts.  Lilian's class went dino hunting on the Liechty's little train. They're a new couple in our ward, and coincidentally enough his younger brother lived in my ward growing up and was my cub scout leader.  Then I got older.  39, if Melissa is to be believed. Twix cake, chocolate zucchini cake with ca...

September 2022 Part 1: Trip to Washington and Oregon.

Image
Sep 1st we headed north and west.  We had lunch at a park in Spanish Fork canyon, played by the river and then jumped back in the car headed for Idaho.  September 3rd we visited Brian and Shanda. Melissa and the kids went for a walk and found some marionberries.  We wanted to go to the northwest to visit Great Grandma Clift, found out Rune's baptism would be happening while we were in the area, so we adjust out travel plans to go to Washington first.  9/3 we headed to the church.  Kai entertained the kids with their drawing while we waited for the meeting to start. Our family had a cold slowly passing through, so we tried to wear masks as often as possible.  We tested 2-3 times over a week, it wasn't COVID-19, just an annoying cold.  Rune's birthday bash! Uncle Andrew was in town, from California, even though he lives in Oklahoma. His work schedule is weird.  Sunday the 4th we decided to watch church on TV because we still had a couple of sick-os....
