I finally GRADUATED!!!

I did it! I finally did it. I finally put my graduation pictures up on my blog. Aunt Tracy has been after me to put these pictures up for over a week now. I just had to get them from my mom first.

Well, I graduated from Brigham Young University on April 22nd/23rd with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. It has only been 10 years since I graduated from high school, but I did take a 4 year break (working and mission).


My mom and Bill flew down on Wednesday, and my sister, Trisha, flew down on Thursday. I really enjoyed dragging them everywhere. We even went and visited my 3rd grade class. They loved it.
It was beautiful out on April 22nd for the big Commencement, but it rained on the 23rd for my Convocation.
Aunt Tracy, my Utah mom, drove down from South Jordan, and my dad drove up from Las Vegas. (He removed his pens from his pocket, but forgot to take his bluetooth off of his ear!)
My grandparents came to town for my cousin's baptism, but they were able to participate in the festivities of 4 grandchildren and 2 grandchildren-in-law graduating from BYU. Here we are below.
It was so fun to spend the week celebrating with my family. I am lucky to have so many people who love and support me!

Now I can go and be a real teacher. It's not like I haven't been in charge of 27 children since August! At least I will get paid more next year!

You copied me and posted the same pic first in line. It's about time you posted this yourself! And dang I look huge in pictures (probably in person too-I just don't feel that big). Love you and soooo proud of your accomplishment!

We had a "CRATER" honeymoon than you!

We stayed in Midway, UT for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. Around our little Swiss get away, were all of these little crater pond things. You can see our little cottage in the background of this picture. On Monday we went to the Crater at Homestead. The water is warm and very blue. My Engagement Story

In order to tell the story of our engagement, I will have to first tell you the story of our first date. For those of you who don't know, Andy and I were set up on a blind date by my Aunt Mary and Uncle Fred (more Mary). We met on August 27th when he picked me up for our date. Andy was well prepared for our first date. He planned on going up to canyon for a picnic and walking around the falls. He even had picked up some yummy sandwiches, but I didn't know about that then. Well, it happened to be raining that day, so he gave me the option of going to this authentic pizza place. I chose that plan since it was raining. We went to the pizza place where I ate pizza with corn on it for my first time. After dinner he started driving me back home, and then he noticed that it had stopped raining. July 2025 - Independence and Friends.

July 4 - Parade time!  The usual, candy, chats with neighbors and lots of fun.  After dinner that night, we went to the Melodrama with Rob and Mallory Lyman.  They came and spent the weekend of the 4th with us. It was fun to have friends over and talk, but the kids struggled with not having alone time.   Sunday July 6 - When we got home from church we couldn't find Goldie, but we found blood stains on the driveway and front steps.  After a few minutes she came to Melissa with a big wound in her front leg.  She'd been out while we were at church and someone shot her in the leg.  She must have been bothering other animals.  We got the bleeding stopped with styptic powder and pressure, then Melissa spent most of the afternoon snuggling her to keep her from licking it.  I took her to the vet the next day, they left the bullet/pellet in the leg and just gave her a week of antibiotics.
