Sunday Dinners and Family

Every Sunday night Andy and I go over to his parents for dinner. Most of his other siblings come as well. It is fun to be with the family, especially the little nieces and nephews. They sure do keep us entertained at times.


For mother's day we got Lindsey a Nana frame since the grandchildren call her Nana. I finally got around to taking a picture for that frame, but of course I haven't printed it yet. These kids just love their Nana! We will have to take a picture with all the grandchildren the next time the out of state grandkids come to visit.

Miles is full of energy and life. He is a funny kid!


This is how these brothers bond. However, it is a little unusual that they only had one cell phone out!

Sunday nights are great. I love spending time with Andy's family. I just wish that I got to see my family as often. I miss them, and I wish that I could watch my nieces and nephews goof off every week. Whenever I see them, they are even more grown up then the last time I saw them. Kael is in first grade, Ava and Kiera are going to preschool, and Liam and Mya are learning how to walk and talk. It would also be fun to sit around and chat with my siblings and parents. Okay, now I'm starting tear up so I better end this blog.

Families are amazing! I am so grateful for all of my family members (real and in-laws). I truly am blessed to have a lot of family! I hope they all know how much I love them!

Cute kiddos! I'm glad you are close to some family so you can see them often. I know how hard it is to be so far away from certain family members. We miss you! (I'm pretending I'm part of your "real" family and not just an in-law:P)

You made me tear up! I do miss when we all lived in Vegas and we came over almost every Sunday for dinner and just hanging out. But glad you have his family nearby to keep you company. And yes I know how much you love us, and the same to you!!!

Shanda, I'm sure you know how I feel because you also live away from your family. You are part of my real family.

We had a "CRATER" honeymoon than you!

We stayed in Midway, UT for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. Around our little Swiss get away, were all of these little crater pond things. You can see our little cottage in the background of this picture. On Monday we went to the Crater at Homestead. The water is warm and very blue. My Engagement Story

In order to tell the story of our engagement, I will have to first tell you the story of our first date. For those of you who don't know, Andy and I were set up on a blind date by my Aunt Mary and Uncle Fred (more Mary). We met on August 27th when he picked me up for our date. Andy was well prepared for our first date. He planned on going up to canyon for a picnic and walking around the falls. He even had picked up some yummy sandwiches, but I didn't know about that then. Well, it happened to be raining that day, so he gave me the option of going to this authentic pizza place. I chose that plan since it was raining. We went to the pizza place where I ate pizza with corn on it for my first time. After dinner he started driving me back home, and then he noticed that it had stopped raining. July 2025 - Independence and Friends.

July 4 - Parade time!  The usual, candy, chats with neighbors and lots of fun.  After dinner that night, we went to the Melodrama with Rob and Mallory Lyman.  They came and spent the weekend of the 4th with us. It was fun to have friends over and talk, but the kids struggled with not having alone time.   Sunday July 6 - When we got home from church we couldn't find Goldie, but we found blood stains on the driveway and front steps.  After a few minutes she came to Melissa with a big wound in her front leg.  She'd been out while we were at church and someone shot her in the leg.  She must have been bothering other animals.  We got the bleeding stopped with styptic powder and pressure, then Melissa spent most of the afternoon snuggling her to keep her from licking it.  I took her to the vet the next day, they left the bullet/pellet in the leg and just gave her a week of antibiotics.
