September 2016: Cuteness, a visit to Nana and Granddad and seeing Greatgrandma Flick's Cabin

September is a special month. The beginning of autumn, my birthday and the end of ridiculous summer heat.

The kids had to come to the shop construction site if they wanted to see me on my days off.
Tightening the cross bracing.

Just kidding, I still took a little time to be with the family.  Here we are enjoying the 4th Reservoir in Blanding.   The water was quite high.

Enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Babies in chest carriers, they weren't as impressed by the views.

Looking pretty on September's fast Sunday.  The backyard flowering bushes were still in bloom.

Beautiful girls soaking in the sun.

And a crazy boy trying to fly.

Getting mom's attention to steal a kiss.

Just being adorable.

Fighting with the wild invading toys from above!

A local friend, Edwin Hawkins, told Andy that he ran an appliance store in Blanding when he was a younger man and his brother was a radio repair technician.  Well, there came a time when radios were being replaced by televisions, Edwin would often deliver a newly purchased TV to a home and the homeowner would just ask him to haul away their old cabinet radio.  Well, this radio was the one that he hauled away from my Grandfather De Lyman Bayles' house. Edwin thought it was a nice looking cabinet, so he kept it in his shop as an antique until he closed down. Then it sat in his basement until he met me.  Now Granddad has it.

Super happy.

Visiting Nana and Granddad. Silly Hannah doesn't even realize that Nana isn't a qualified organ instructor.

Heading to Costco with my matching mother and wife.  Weird girls.

Melissa's cousins Dan and Jay. Holding babies for the first time ever, any babies.  We sure were trusting parents.

Granddad working on hand-eye coordination.

Walk to Bridal Veil Falls in Utah County with most of the cousins.

Adi being a weirdo for the camera.

Jonathan leading Zoe and the younger cousins.

Melissa and I took engagement pictures (and became engaged) in this area, so we recreated some of the photos.  This is, "people who love each other standing on a bridge."

And this one is "double the bodies, with the creepy white hand."

Sisters-in-law/baby stealers! Jeanette and Chevon with Hannah and Finley.

Little girls love rivers.

Picnic after the hike.

Nana, Savanna, and Hannah.  All the "Na" girls.

We stopped by Utah Fertility Center to add the twins names to the UFC "family tree."

Notice their names and birthdate in white 8 inches above them.

Not all our staff were working that day, but we did get to take a picture with Dr. Jennifer Conway and Amberlie (scheduling coordinator).

Trying solids for the first time, my birthday.

San Juan county was rocked in the fall of 2016 by the proposal of the Bears Ears National Monument by President Barack Obama.  The monument was originally proposed at 3 million acres and would include massive portions of privately held ranches, cabins, LDS Church property and nearly every desirable camping/ATV area in San Juan County.  Many in the county and friends throughout the state and country protested, wrote letters and raised funds to make our voices heard.  We didn't want a monument, we didn't want the federal government to control more land in our county. One of the fundraising events was a concert (country singers Darryl Worley and Charley Jenkins) and a silent auction, known as the first annual San Juan Freedom Fest 9/22/16.

Finbar at his first concert.

6 month old pictures

Just a couple of great, "you looking at me?!" photos.

Finster, just kicking it in the pink bouncer.

First visit to Great grandma Flick's cabin in Arizona, 9/30/16. (More pictures to come in the October post)
