February 2022 Bunco and hiking

Feb 1st, home and right back into the grind.  Lilian is enjoying parachute time at gymnastics.

That evening Melissa headed to the church blood drive to donate a double.

The twins have really taken to having the Lyman girls over.  They will often ask if they can go over and ask to play.  It is fun to see their increasing independence.

Speaking of... Hannah holding Lilian's hand as she takes her to the Lyman's to join Finn, who went over earlier.

Feb 6th Hannah asked if she could help with dinner prep.  She is prepping green beans, with a real knife, while I do the cauliflower.

Grandma Workman and Hannah at music class.

Utah State University hosted a visit the campus for the health education building.  Melissa and the kids came to see the building and have a hotdog.  This is my classroom, where I teach pharmacology.

Feb 11th Melissa hosted her homeschool group for a Valentine's Party in our shop.

They had candy races, built marshmallow/toothpick towers, and wrote about what they love.

That night Melissa went to the Laws' ranch for a bunco night.  She left at about 4 PM and we didn't see her again until Saturday after lunch.  She had fun playing with the ladies and eating treats.

Only a few of the women decided to stay the night, and Melissa slept horribly! She didn't turn on the noise maker on her phone, so she lay awake listening to all the noises which only occur in the quietest places.

Saturday morning, after a late breakfast, they went hiking to some ruins on the property. Melissa, Mallory and Emily.

The next Saturday, Feb 19th, it was time to get to work.  Hannah came with me to our Main Street rental to put a sign at each side of the drive way.  There is a tax place in front of our house and customers kept blocking the driveway.  She helped with pounding in the post and mounting the sign.  She was a great helper, no whining at all.

That afternoon, Melissa took us to visit the same kiva at the Laws' ranch.  We hiked all around and had a nice picnic.

The brave climbers.

Melissa has been on a crochet kick lately.  This is the bag she is making for Nana's birthday.

Feb 22: This has been a very dry winter, but today we got a little snow.  Melissa and the kids enjoyed getting all bundled up for play time.

Hannah reading a book called "Sis" to her little sis.  It is pretty neat to see the kid's progress as the twins are starting to read and Lilian can now write her name without any assistance.
