October 2019 Part 1. A visit to Seaside, OR and life up to Halloween.

10/4 - Lilian looks pretty happy, huh?  I don't think she realizes just how far we are driving. Again, no idea how far Seaside is from Blanding.  I'm grateful for little towns with fun parks.  I'm writing this blog 11/22/20, during the middle of the SARS-CoV-2 resurgence.  A random stop at a public park today is almost a political stance... yikes, the difference a year makes.  10/5 - Melissa decided, just days before, that we needed to crash the Clift siblings weekend in Oregon.  Trisha's family did the same and we had fun watching conference, playing games and enjoying family.  The weather was surprisingly different 8 weeks before our usual Thanksgiving visits.   Actually playing on the beach, digging in the sand for hours. Instead of the usual 20 minutes fighting the wind just to say, "we went to the beach." Enjoying that famous pacific northwest sun with Trisha. Snuggles and smiles with Grandpa and Grandma Clift. September 2019 Labor Day visits, Bum Surgery, Camping with truck problems, etc.

Grandpa and Grandma Aurich came to visit for Labor Day. So the twins attacked Grandpa with giant burritos. 9/2 - We went to visit one of the reservoirs.  Cruising in the Rhino with Grandma. Labor day BBQ. 9/5 - Finley had a hypopigmented Blue Nevus on his bottom.  Melissa had been watching it for a few years now and realized it was getting bigger.  It was bothering him, itchy.  He had it biopsied in town, but the boarders were unclear.  So we went to the UofU to have the rest removed under sedation. He put up with the procedure very well. The first thing he said when he woke up, which he did earlier than expected was, "where are my Paw Patrol Fruit Snacks?"  We gave him a bag of them before, while he was fasting until almost 4 PM, and told him he could eat them as soon as it was done. He was awake before even arriving in the recovery area.  The nurses said they'd never seen a kid awake that quickly. We've always known Finley is really good at "being aw...
