March 2026 Sand, Sun, Birthday and Faith.

March 2 Monday - Melissa modeling her new crochet t-shirt.   March 5 Thursday- Melissa and the kids were bored with the Number house remodel so they started remodeling the doll house.  March 8 Sunday - Kind of a weird Sunday afternoon activity, cutting the old doll house windows to make French doors.  March 12 Thursday - Hannah was a clerk in the elementary school Mary Poppins musical.  They had three performances and she really enjoyed it.  March 16 Monday - Melissa and the kids went to Cottonwood Wash several times this spring and really enjoyed the sunshine and water.  The kids working on a shelter at Cottonwood Wash.  March 17 Tuesday - St Patrick's Day homeschool celebration.  Making a St Patrick's Day fairy garden at Grandma's House.  March 19 Thursday - The kids joined an Animal Science class online. Feb 2026 A quick trip across the state and we finally got snow!

Feb 1 Sunday - We had an interesting experience on Sunday before church. I took the kids to visit a friend of ours named John Bevan Wright.  He's 93 years old and has been a friend of ours for the past few years, we visit a few times each year around the holidays and he's even helped the kids with a woodworking project once.  The interesting thing was on our way home. We were driving in between the houses that used to belong to De and Hanson Bayles, on the corner of 200 S and 100 E. Finley commented on a big treehouse in front of De's white adobe house. Lilian couldn't see it from her side of the car so we pulled over across the street so she could have a look and stopped to talk about our family history on that intersection. I know we'd had the same conversation about those houses before, but it helped me to remember that you can't tell your children something once and count on it staying in their memory forever.  The kids thought it was really neat to see the ...

January 2026 Sunshine, exploration and a return to basketball.

Jan 1, 2026 - Thursday a new year and a new game.  The kids all received some tiny Lego challenge games, with minimal pieces, build a such and such.  Homeschool tech class.  My earbud case had been acting funny, so Finn and I opened it and resoldered the broken battery leads. Funny situation, I hadn't used a soldering iron in at least a year or two, then ended up with 3 projects in as many weeks. I won't always have a Finn to hold the needle nose pliers, maybe we need a soldering station.  Jan 3 - Saturday, Hannah finished my birthday-Christmas-New Year present!  She crotched this scarf for me/us.  Jan 8 - Thursday, Finn started his basketball season.  He played 2 games per week for the month of January.  He says he enjoyed it and wants to play again next season, but as I write it is April, and he hasn't dribbled a ball since the season ended.  Jan 10 - Saturday.
