July 5-8, 2015 A little more time on the coast, then back to Seattle.

7/5 Sunday, family church and a lazy day.
Melissa and Trisha are sisters... but Trisha has a kissier face.

Brian and Jeremy are brothers in law... with HUGE heads which don't fit standard sized hats.

Old friends. Seriously, these people have known each other a long time... since before the back one (Kael) was born.

After church we went down to the dock to do some crabbing.  I guess Eli and I are in charge of dinner tonight?

Oh, so cute! Don't fall, the water is cold.

Monday was a beach day. Unfortunately this first park, while cute, didn't have a nice beach so we packed back up and headed elsewhere.

This is back at Fort Worden State Park. Melissa is cute!

Mommy and Melissa enjoying the sun.

This kid was a handful.  No wonder there are fewer men than women on the earth.  I imagine many baby men would run into the ocean and never return if given the opportunity
.

Everyone wanted a mer-person tail.

The family that sunburns together, stays together.
Bill, Chris, and Mark headed back to Seattle after the beach and the rest of us went back to the timeshares to wash up, dry off and rest from a morning fighting the very cold water.

The next day (7/7) we headed to the Olympic Game Farm. It is a petting zoo and animal park where all the animals are fed a steady diet of whole wheat bread from the cars of visitors.

Yup, native Washingtonia Zebra.

Processed grain fed peacock, I bet he would be delicious for Thanksgiving dinner.

Even the bears enjoyed some whole wheaty goodness.

This park features a trained grizzly from Walt Disney studios.  If you wave, he sits up and waves back. It is quite the show because between each wave he gets back on all fours expecting a treat.  Then he sits back down, pops up on his bum and waves.

Any of our hunter friends jealous?

Yes, these guys were as creepy as they look.

And they were everywhere!

Billy goat petting area.

Pig-goats!  (Pigmy goats).

Little kiddie stationary train.

After the park Keith and Darlene wanted everyone to try Highway 101 Diner.  They eat there on the way up the first day.  The food was good.  Melissa got a burger and a chocolate shake with sweet potato fries.  I had a Cobb Salad with honey mustard dressing, tons of meat, egg and cheese in the salad.  Definitely worth eating there again, next time we're in north western Washington.

After lunch we split, some returned to relax and Keith and Darlene took a tour of several more state parks in there area.

7/8/16 we went to the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport, WA.
Andrew and Andy at the Mystic DSRV (Deep Sea Rescue Vehicle).  It is a underwater rescue vehicle designed to mate with all nations subs to attach to a sub while at depth.  Think "The Hunt for Red October."

Grandpa Keith teaching all the little ones about the dangers of submarines.

Building periscopes with Kiera and Ava.

After the museum we all found lunches and headed to a park to play and eat.  I stopped at a Filipino restaurant (because I'd never eaten that before) and Melissa had a peanut butter and jam sandwich. The Filipino food was good. Melissa and I found kites for the kids a consignment store (Jeremy's idea of fun). Jeremy loved the consignment store and the kids enjoyed the kites.

Bye sis!

Hello my love!

Bye Shanda and Rune.  From the park Melissa and I drove back to Seattle.

We spent another evening with Chris and Bill. Bill had recently finished his chemotherapy for lymphoma.  He was a real trooper through the trip.  He was exhausted all the time, but he took plenty of naps and enjoyed some family time.

Melissa never misses a chance for pictures with Bill (I think she likes him).

We drove Mark to the airport for his redeye back to Ohio, then we flew back to Utah on the next day, July 9th.
