January - March 2016, we are falling behind on our blogging, time to post like the wind.

Another year began with finishing Melissa's Christmas present.  This year it was a hanging headboard for our new bed and working on the nursery (at the time I thought we were way ahead of schedule, we were supposed to have 4 months before the kids came).

It was a very wet winter so I got to move a lot of snow with the rhino, the Lyman girls rode along for a few minutes.

Kati and Copper all bundled up for the snow.

Pregnant lady "playing in the snow," while Zoe and the girls dug a snow cave.

Melissa braved the snow and ice in the truck to see Nikki at her new house before her daughter came. Then they went to the store together.

An important pregnancy milestone, balancing a cup on your giant tummy.

6 months pregnant. Starting to show?

The headboard is done...

time to start on the kid beds.

6.5 months, we aren't sure why we took this picture so soon after the other. Melissa thinks she might have just felt pretty that day.

Making decorations for the nursery.

Looking west from 600 W and Center Street in Blanding, what would become Bears Ears National Monument less than 1 year later.

More nursery time projects.

Katilyn hosted a diapers and wipes baby shower for Melissa

Mum, Dad, Adam, Jeanette and kids came down for a weekend of wild and crazy fun.  We visited the mouth of Recapture Creek into the San Juan river**, Twin Rocks Cafe for lunch and Recapture Pockets for hiking.   **Where Great Grandpa Hanson Bayles farmed his first season in Bluff.
There is a fun trail from the highway down to the mouth of the river.  We took the Rhino, the truck and the 4 wheeler to get everyone down. It was mostly easy going, but dad and I did have to fill one ditch with rocks to get the truck across and there were a few fun water crossings
.

At the mouth of the creek the sand was very water heavy. We even found a section of "quick sand" which Jeanette bounced on, until she started to sink.

7.5 months pregnant, people are starting to notice.

Marissa and Zoe

We convinced Mum and Dad to drive the Rhino on the way back up the trail because it has a much softer ride than the truck.

We then went for lunch at Twin Rocks, then a hike at Recapture Pockets.

We finished the Nursery. It was good to be done before the babies came, even if we didn't end up using the nursery until they were 6 months.

Melissa painted birds and a squirrel on this shower curtain to turn a creepy dead tree into a fun, nursery closet cover.
