October 1-08. Lindon, Chagrin Falls and Niagara Falls, Canada. The kids first international trip.

10/1/17 General Conference with the Bayless family.  Hannah wasn't sure what we were watching, but she was happy to watch with us.  This little girl can't get enough TV time.

Cousins are the best! Colt and Finley were pretty good friends.

10/2/17 Melissa's stomach was off.  I blamed pre-travel jitters, until she told me she was also 7 days late.  Not fair, we are supposed to be infertile.  When we are ready for more kids, we have to discuss it, plan it, save up and schedule appointments.  It isn't supposed to happen just because Melissa comes home from a weekend away in Cleveland.  How fitting, the night before we fly to Cleveland, we find out that we conceived on the night after Melissa came home from Cleveland. Look at her eyes!  She is so happy... almost as if she'd been wanting this to happen!

10/5/17 Well, Hannah found her favorite part of Ohio.  She was pretty happy to have a little horse head of her own.   We went to visit Chrissy at work and have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with Mark and Luke.  It is an all-in-one kind of community.  Housing, shops, restaurants, office park, etc. all in walking distance.  Interesting concept, sounds infuriating to me.  I'd feel confined.

Finley road a bronze turtle though, so I guess it was an okay place to be.

Hannah likes her new cousin.

She liked riding Uncle Mark's lawn mower even better though!

The Gentleman Finn, surveying the grounds.

On 10/6 we went to the Lake Metropark Farmpark in Kirtland, OH. This old Ford tractor was at the entrance.  Finley spent several minutes on it on the way in, and out. He cried both times we had to remove him.

There were lots of animals to interact with.

Hands on area. I think Mark and Chrissy had more fun in here than Luke.

The kids all played in a big corn box, and nobody ate any. It was wonderful.

There was a row of tractors. 4 different sizes and Finley got to ride them all.

On the 7th we came back to Kirtland to see the church history sites.

They kids weren't exactly listening and pondering, but they enjoyed seeing some neat stuff.

We found a nice roadside park for a lunch break on the 8th.  We were on our way to Niagara Falls and were able to get out and wander around for an hour to break up the drive.

The kids liked the falls and watching the boats.

They liked picking the Canadian flowers even more.

Finley pointing out the water, just in case we hadn't noticed

We took them safely across the border.  We didn't even have to smuggle them back in to the USA.
Melissa's morning sickness was getting worse each day. She's smiling on the outside, but nauseated on the inside.
