March 2019 It is still snowing in Blanding, so we're going to Vegas, baby! Twins turn 3.

March 1, 2019. The twins, Zoe and I decided to take advantage of the heavy snow still on the ground.  We took the Rhino out on the trail east of the Visitor's Center park. Twins are muddy and happy! 
It was a fun ride.  The snow was deep so we just kept the wheel speed up and used 4 wheel drive only after getting stuck. 


Zoe's pretty happy too. 


EARTHQUAKE!! March 4th I rented a scaffold to climb up and remove the old fashioned chandelier in the entry.  Melissa was gone, the twins watching TV and Lilian sleeping.  I climbed off the scaffold and was sitting on the stairs researching when "the basement washing machine went crazy bouncing around."  Melissa came home a few minutes later and told me that we'd just had an earthquake!.  Yikes. 


"I found you!"

I swear, they begged to ride this thing every time we went to the store... and these are the faces we get? 

3/17 - Happy St Paddy's Day!

3/18 Enjoying the slowly developing spring. 



She can't do much yet, but she sure is cute. 


3/23 - Lily celebrates the twins' birthday with her first horse ride.  Couldn't be in a safer situation. Nana and Lynette to help you out, somewhere around approximately 130 years of equestrian experience.

3/25 we were in Las Vegas.  This is not us.  Trisha and Jeremy's family came, so did Mark and Chrissy's family too.

3/26 Hiking with Grandpa Aurich at Red Rock, it isn't red.  We drove 8 hours to hike in not red red rocks?  There was one red wall of sand stone at the entrance. It was funny how everyone was hyping up the beautiful rocks... I guess they forgot we were from Blanding.

3/28 - We went to Springs Preserve in Las Vegas and Lilian was pretty happy to just hang out in the butterfly section. 

We shared an AirBNB with Chris and Bill, they couldn't miss out on seeing so many of their kids and grand kids all in one place.  Finn was having a tough time going down for a nap, so I laid with him.  I guess I needed a nap, too. 

3/30 - Back home to our kingdom, where we can be ourselves. 

Grandma Jack gave rolling pins and sugar cookie mix for the twins' birthday, so we mixed it up and made cookies on 3/30.

So did the girls.

We had a "CRATER" honeymoon than you!

We stayed in Midway, UT for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. Around our little Swiss get away, were all of these little crater pond things. You can see our little cottage in the background of this picture. On Monday we went to the Crater at Homestead. The water is warm and very blue. Many people go scuba diving here, but we just swam around. Ok, so I didn't swim too much. I more of just floated around. They make you wear a life jacket, which meant I got to just relax. My Engagement Story

In order to tell the story of our engagement, I will have to first tell you the story of our first date. For those of you who don't know, Andy and I were set up on a blind date by my Aunt Mary and Uncle Fred (more Mary). We met on August 27th when he picked me up for our date. Andy was well prepared for our first date. He planned on going up to canyon for a picnic and walking around the falls. He even had picked up some yummy sandwiches, but I didn't know about that then. Well, it happened to be raining that day, so he gave me the option of going to this authentic pizza place. I chose that plan since it was raining. We went to the pizza place where I ate pizza with corn on it for my first time. After dinner he started driving me back home, and then he noticed that it had stopped raining. July 2025 - Independence and Friends.

July 4 - Parade time!  The usual, candy, chats with neighbors and lots of fun.  After dinner that night, we went to the Melodrama with Rob and Mallory Lyman.  They came and spent the weekend of the 4th with us. It was fun to have friends over and talk, but the kids struggled with not having alone time.   Sunday July 6 - When we got home from church we couldn't find Goldie, but we found blood stains on the driveway and front steps.  After a few minutes she came to Melissa with a big wound in her front leg.  She'd been out while we were at church and someone shot her in the leg.  She must have been bothering other animals.  We got the bleeding stopped with styptic powder and pressure, then Melissa spent most of the afternoon snuggling her to keep her from licking it.  I took her to the vet the next day, they left the bullet/pellet in the leg and just gave her a week of antibiotics.
