December 2021 Part 1, Not Christmas, Yes Uncle Andrew

December started with helping Ellie decorate a tree in her yard.

Then a nighttime science class with dad so mom could go exercise.  Kiwi Crates keep their attention pretty well.

Friday the 3rd Hannah went out for her mom and dad date. Lunch and hiking at White Rocks.

The kids wanted to send a photo to the Lego magazine, but Finn and Lilian wouldn't smile, so I don't think anything ever got sent in.

Finley has been having a lot of belly trouble and accidents.  So we started a physical therapy program with a pediatric PT from Primary Children's. We had a face to face visit, then did weekly remote sessions with daily exercise and stretching. As of the end of January, it seems to be helping some.

Melissa and the kids went to the ward party, Grandma and Grandpa Aurich were here for a couple of days, so they went too.  Chili and dancing! I have to say, while I was sad to miss the ward party, I wasn't sad to miss the dancing.

Playing Lego with grandpa.

Hannah moved up to the evil mice for this year's Nutcracker Ballet.

We took Grandma and Grandpa to the Discovery Center in Monticello, too.

San Juan Health had a Santa visit, we thought it was a drive through and drop off your letter. It was a get out and take pictures, so Lilian has a blanket and Finn is wearing my coat.

Decorating elf hats from the library.

Little do they know, this will be the LAST time they destroy the couches.

McCullough's had an outdoor wassail party, so we went and visited their goats and alpacas.

Helping Grandma cut Christmas cookies after Sunday dinner.

Monday the 20th we made some hot chocolate and went out Christmas light hunting.

21st, the cats got fixed.  So they moved into the kitchen in Zoe's old kennel and got to wear onesies to keep them from licking their incisions.

Visiting Santa Stephens at the library.

Melissa was watching Owen Lyman on the 22nd because it was his great grandfather's funeral.  Joe was a great guy.

Uncle Andrew came to stay for Christmas! Everyone took to him quite quickly, helps that we saw him just a couple of months ago in Oklahoma.

On the 23rd we went shooting and Finley and Hannah both shot the .22 with me.  Finn shot the .357 rifle, too, but he wasn't a fan.

Hannah actually hit some stuff, because I learned to aim over her shoulder.

It was just going to be Andrew and I, but the whole family came and it was lots of fun.

That night we made graham cracker houses with Grandma.

To be continued...
