November 2021 Part 1, Blanding, UT
The town school marm getting ready for learning some kids.
Visiting one of Melissa's friends who has a mini farm to learn about daily chores.
Hand embroidery/sewing buttons.
Some were more proud of their handiwork than others.
Nothing quite like wooden toys for old timey kids. A crane truck.
Panning for gold at Bluff fort. The interior was shut and all the cabins were closed, so we just wandered the exterior exhibits.
Then we went to San Juan Hill.
Melissa and Lilian waited at the bottom, Finn made it halfway then went back down.
Hannah and I climbed to the top and enjoyed the view.
Old timey family activity... bowling!
Hannah tried pushing it without the ramp once. The ball made it all the way to the pins, but just barely.
Lilian made us back up so she could do it alone almost every fame.
Nice form! Melissa won the game.
Homeschool with dress ups.
Playing at Lynette's
Melissa got a free bike on the local Facebook group. We swapped out the tubes and discovered the front rim is just a tiny bit bent. Still ridable, but not perfect.
We spent a couple of hours riding at the North Chapel and ended with kids riding on the back.
Melissa took care of Mason and Kati's son Owen for a few hours. This little girl was not happy to share her mother, but she did enjoy helping with feedings.
Hannah handled the little guy a little better.
I drew pictures in the kids journals so they could color them and write sentences. Cadillac ranch.
Person sitting on the beach with a boat coming to visit.
We went on a Finley date 11/19 to try to talk about recent trouble with anger and picking on sisters. Finn decided to go for a cinnamon roll at the bakery, in the Pioneer.
Then we went hiking at White Rocks. We had a good little talk while we hiked. I feels like it might have helped a little... but at the very least it was fun to be out on a Finn date.
Sometimes, Lilian opens the garage door and the kittens get in. They love to find a tight spot to hide. Stinking cats, get outside, you aren't dogs.
