December 2014 - Christmas all month
The branch by branch tree we got for free out first Christmas and still use (because we only think about replacing it while putting it up).
The house got dressed up a little more than normal this year. Rope lights on the retaining wall and railing.
A string light tree and a snowman.
The Monticello Temple decorations in progress when we went to the temple.
Melissa came in to find this on her classroom wall. Thank you Mr and Mrs Winder.
Then I made Melissa a table... well, I started it anyway.
Melissa got really sick to her stomach, so much that Zoe and I had to setup the air mattress for a night to avoid the contaminated zone.
Zoe was so worried about getting sick that she asked to be sent away for a few days, back to her home planet.
We spent Christmas eve with Mum and Dad, Jon, Adam and Jeanette. And a strange Swiss contraption which cooks meats and melts cheese for tiny sandwiches.
Then we busted out mom's Christmas present early. Chocolate fountain!
Lindon had snow.
And Linden had a hat. Josh and Mandy sure have cute kids.
Miles became the foundation for the box full of kids! Savanna, Avery and Adi thought it was pretty fun to pile on him.
Christmas present craziness!
And Christmas Night, after cleaning up and calming down.
Even Mum and Dad got snuggly for a picture.
Then off to an evening at Fred and Mary's for food and Clifts.
Melissa got me two Serenity comics for Christmas, this may be the first time she's ever seen me read a book that wasn't school or scripture.
Teaching Adam, Jon and Jonathan to play Firefly the Game. Jonathan won.
Zoe loves the snow and looks cute with her dusted face.
One of my favorite gifts this year. Melissa got me a keychain Firefly. Now Serenity goes everywhere my truck keys do.
This came in at #3, right after an awesome few days with family, and the beauty of the town trying to pretty things up for a few weeks out of the year (sharing the warmth and beauty of lights).
It was a wonderful Christmas season. This year Melissa and I made goody bags with Scandinavian Almond Bars, English Toffee, Saltine Toffee, and Banana Bread. We packed it all up, put on our Santa hats and delivered around the town in the Rhino. Sometimes small town living has its perks!
