January 2014 - Snow, finishing the Christmas Table, and a warm fuzzy
New Year's Day was nice and snowy, just like it should be.
I love plowing!
Melissa loves snow pictures.
The fire ring looks better covered in snow.
Melissa got me the little sheet metal puzzles for Christmas. The Golden Hinde and...
The Millennium Falcon .

Zoe's laser eye approves. The verified that the table is 100% square and level.
Some time during the month I received a text message from a neighbor (Travis Whatcott) asking me to help him give a blessing to someone he knows. This friend had been in a car accident months earlier. She lost her sight and the ability to walk. Brain damage changed her personality and took away many of her memories. Her children (5-17) didn't feel comfortable with her because of her mood changes. By the time he brought me for the blessing she was walking again (unstable) and much of her memory and personality were back. We talked with her briefly and Travis asked her to say a prayer before the blessing. Her faith as she prayed was amazing. As I listened I realized that I hear people pray all the time, but she was one of the few people in my life who I heard "talk to our Heavenly Father." Her faith was so clear as she spoke and the Spirit came to the room with so much power, it seemed that the priesthood ordinance of anointing and sealing was just a formality. I was very grateful to be a part of the experience.
