August 2019, Melissa's birthday and a busy month. Travel, fair, visitors, crazy sauce!

8/2 - Melissa took a couple of days for a "Girl's Weekend." She and her mom went to Arizona to meet Trisha at Grandma Flick's house.  That left me with the kids for a weekend.  We took a long morning to walk to the dinosaur museum and have lunch at the hospital.

Finley took this picture, nice rule of thirds.

The girls went shopping...

and had a family gathering.

8/2 - One of Melissa's ministering sisters was having a fund raiser for medical trouble.  The twins and I took a few plates of cookies over.  When it comes to hauling, they are not a well matched pair!

Part of the reason for the trip was a cousin's wedding. Cousin Travis and Audra's daughter Riley got married.  These are cousins on the Clift side, so Grandma Flick didn't have to get dressed up for a temple trip...

But she looked nice anyway!

Cutting the cake.

8/5 - After coming home, Melissa was so stressed from her trip that she needed some therapy.  Dry needle therapy.  Her neck and shoulders were acting up again, so she tried this under the PT provider for several sessions.

Family night out! 8/5/19

Girls waiting their turn.

Melissa dominating the lanes.

Lilian learning the ropes.

Sometimes sisters are best friends.

The San Juan county fair always comes during Melissa's birthday.  So 8/10/19 we headed for the rodeo!

And got arrested.

Lots of animals

And sun.

The twins loved the blow up slides

No matter how many times they fell, they just kept going.

Even Lilian bounced a little with Grandma's help

Posing with the stars was another story! The look of terror on Hannah's face at meeting Snow White!

Happy Birthday mom!  Couldn't even get seats together.

8/19/20 was the first day of preschool for the twins!.  Thank you Miss Lana Latham for an awesome year.

8/21/19 was the Blanding 7th ward garden party at the Dude Ranch.  So much fun. Best church activity ever!

Melissa is serving as a personal progress assistant in the Young Women's group and 8/28 they hit the streets for some service.  Groups of girls went around the ward to try to find projects.  They washed the windows at the Numbers' home.

Our date box was a Fondue pot this month.  From the look of the kids faces, I'd say the loved joining us for our date.
