July 2019 Post 1. Independence Day and trip 1/2 to Lindon this month.

Another whirlwind July 4th holiday.  We started the day with a parade in Blanding and enjoyed an hour with Grandma and Grandpa Workman.

Getting ready for the parade and candy!

Finley greeting the horses

Dog sitting while Melissa and I chase the kids in the street.

What happened? Just a few hours later and Lilian is making friends with her cousin Benjamin at Nana's house.

While the twins loved having new playmates outside!

Lilian was just a social butterfly today.  Happy to see all her family.

Getting lost in the hay fields

Marissa is too cool for the little cousins.

Getting ready for Uncle Jon's fireworks display.

The 2019 Pyros!

Maybe not a perfect social butterfly! At least not during explosions.

July 5th we headed into American Fork canyon for family photos.  Heather wasn't able to make it, but we hadn't had this much of the family together in years.

A little out of order, but the yellow girl cousins posing after the official shoot.

So many smiles!

All the grandkids

The boys, Heather couldn't make it up from Arizona.  So not, "the kids."

The couples

The reason we're all here today.

Smiling for the promise of running down to the playground we saw on the walk up.

Really? How are you this cute?

Lady's man!

"I'm not crying, just press the button!"

No kids! Happy!

We headed home the next day and by the 8th the twins were enjoying swimming lessons.  Lots of blowing bubbles and talking to fish.

Happy to be home.

7/8 - WHAT THE HECK!?!?!  Melissa had been having headaches and weird spells of blurry vision.  She got in to the optometrist and was prescribed glasses.  I think she looks cute.  She wore them about a week, but she also stopped using her normal steroid nasal spray.  One way or another the blurry spells decreased and she stopped wearing the glasses.

Bishop Jens Nelson (7th ward, not Hole in the Rock/Bluff) remembered having Father's and Son's campout at "The Grove," when he was a boy.  We asked around and I volunteered to scout it.  It was beautiful.  We had a nice family explore and picnic.  There was a camper down there already, so that proved it was accessible.  The road was pretty bumpy, but we decided to go for it.

Hannah loved the area.

Lilian wore the picnic.

And Finn demonstrated how bad the road was, a rut up to his hips.

Seriously though, it is beautiful.

To be continued...
