August 2020 Dinos, extracurriculars, and berries.

Trying to explore our area a little more, we went for a picnic and play with Rob and Mallory Lyman's family at Lloyd's Lake in Monticello.  It was so muddy!  The kids loved it, but we were digging lost shoes out of the mud every few minutes.

Next we were off to the dino museum. We went twice in August,

Happy Birthday Melissa!  Our annual "give Homestead a chance" dinner.  As I remember it was pretty tasty this time around.  Ordering a couple of staples like ribs and fish makes it hard to screw up.  A birthday in the middle of the pandemic, but it was fun to be out together.

The next day we went over to visit Grandma and Grandpa Jack for an hour.  Don and Shirley have been so wonderful to our family.  It is really nice for the kids to have a connection to neighbors they can trust and love.

Hannah getting ready to start ballet lessons this school year.

Time to tile the back splash for our new counters

If it weren't for Melissa's motivation, none of these projects would ever get done.

Sometimes the summer is too hot for anything other than swinging in the shade!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Workman!  His daughter Ami came down for a few days.  Our kids fell in love with her!  Then she went looking at houses while she was here and came close to buying one.  The sale fell through due to an inspection problem.  She was just looking for something in a small town.

Taking Ami to see The Grove.  Melissa drove that nasty road by herself.

Starting the 2nd year of preschool!

Thanks for all the learning Ms. Lana.

Finn starting gymnastics.

Everybody loves to swim.

Wild man jumping in!

Mergirl heading home.

Remember the clock we started ~ 2 years ago?  Making progress!

Melissa managed to keep little fingers out of the berry patches for a day or two and was able to pick enough for a nice dinner side.
