October 2020 the days are getting shorter, but we're still active as ever.

Rob and Mallory Lyman invited us to a pizza party at their house during Saturday conference and the kids had fun playing outside.

Bike time with all the neighbors. .

When one of he apostles spoke, they kids would try to find their picture and put a sticker up to mark that we heard them.

Melissa got a haircut!

Finley has been practicing gymnastics and got to do the parachute play.  That was always my favorite in PE back in elementary school.

Nothing says Fall Fun like driving golf tees into a home grown pumpkin!

Saturday October 10th, we went out for a family hike and picnic.

Occasionally Lilian is willing to have a little daddy time.

But, she always prefers Mom time!

The city's 4th of July celebrations were cancelled in Blanding, so they ended up with a fall festival.  The kids loved the corn pile.

Not sure what it has to do with the fall, but Hannah was able to escape a wild dinosaur.

They had a porch swing supported off a long reach forklift.  We had fun swinging back and forth for a minute... then it broke on the next family!

The city even put on a fireworks show. In my opinion, October is a much better time for fireworks.  At 8 PM, it is fully dark and you can have an amazing display.

Happy Halloween from Nana and Granddad!  Thank you for the mail order treat bags!

We spent some time on Saturday building in the shop with wood scraps.  Sunday we painted.  Finn, Lilian and I made spaceships and Hannah made a castle.

End of the growing season, time to clear the flowerbeds and prep for next spring.  Holy cow, this was a huge project.  So much grass in the flowerbeds.

After dinner we left the kids with Grandma and headed up the mountain with the Lyman's. We wanted to find the tunnel through the mountain.

Photo from the Monticello side.

We did!  Rob and I climbed through the tunnel to the other side, here we are returning.

Here's Melissa, bravely, posing in the opening to the tunnel.

We did it! we cleared the southwest flowerbeds.

2 days later it snowed! Zoe and the kids were really excited for an early winter storm.

The snow was gone quickly and we got back into Halloween mode.  Hannah and Melissa's Elsa pumpkin.

Finn and I making a tractors pumpkin.

Lilian making a pumpkin stop being orange.

Fairy time!

Halloween at the library.

Everybody was a ninja this Halloween. Actually Finley was a dragon. The girls were My Little Ponies. Hannah was Princess Celestia and Lilian was Twilight Sparkle.

Carving time!

Scary!

Braylee and the Bayless' kids trick or treating.

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Jack!

And Grandma and Grandpa Workman.  We were the only trick or treaters to visit them this year.
