5/30/2015 Family... welcome to London. Bus tour and Borough Market.

We jumped on the good old Piccadilly line and headed to the city.

Oh, Melissa and Grandma came too.

Thank goodness for escalators or Grandma might have been done for the day before we even got out of the tube station.

We started the day with a Hop On/Hop Off bus tour, because I forgot the Tower of London tickets.  Yup, we pre-purchased Tower of London tickets and I left them at Auntie Glyn's.  It turned out to be a great day for the bus, it was mostly sunny and warm enough to go without jackets.

Floating Yoda!

And Shaun the Sheep was all over the city in a variety of costumes.

It was so neat to look around and think, "I've been here, there, over there, and here..."  It was also overwhelming to look around all through the bus tour and realize that last year, we walked ALL of it.  No wonder Melissa's knee hurt last year, sorry sweetheart.

We departed the bus near Borough Market, and descended into the insanity.  We named a meeting place and time, broke into smaller groups and wandered the market to find lunch.

Back at the meeting place to eat.  I can't visit the market without a giant meringue!

Look who we found... Jim!  The guy in purple. Wait, no, this is a picture of the clock tower which houses Big Ben.

Janell and Tracy stayed in the city a little longer, we road back to Northfield station with Bob and Grandma, then Melissa and I went to visit Teresa and her bunch.  We got to see the completed renovations!  The house looks great and is so much bigger than it was. It was a good chance just to sit and chat. Everyone was really proud of Tracy for staying in the city with Janell.  She was a little scared at first, but ended up having fun.

We then went (candy) shopping with Glyn and Melissa found her new favorite car.
